Black in Brooklyn

Ok, I love Brooklyn. I love the vibe and the style of Williamsburg. Let’s get real people though, attempting to be different by dressing like every other person is not being different. Yes, ripped hose and short leather shorts with combat boots halfway tied up is unconventional, but not when 7 out of 10 chicks are doing it the exact same way.

God forbid I see some color in Brooklyn. I mean really, all black head to toe, everyday on every woman? Own your individuality and dress how you want, but not how everyone wants you to.

It’s dark, but Molly was really workin an over sized black rabbit fur jacket, courtesy of Standard Style. I wasn’t sure how I felt about her leggings pulled down over her pumps, but I was sure she could pull off just about anything with her attitude ( and hot bod )!

I DIE.

With such a flounced hem, it’s crucial to keep it slim through the leg. YSL pink jacquard jacket, 2490, silk jumpsuit and heels, YSL boutiques.

I LOVE.

Thank you Celine for such a glamorous all white look. Thank you vogue for such a beautiful photo of such a talented handsome man.

To buy: Celine top, 1600. Trousers, 1200. Peplum belt, Celine, NYC.

To see: Jack Huston, HBO’s Boardwalk Empire.

Color blocking is so in for Spring!

Now, unless you can combine as well as Nicole (which most cannot) you need to buy a color wheel. So before purchasing anything, go to your local artist supply store and buy a damn color wheel, figure out what combinations you like, try them on (not ALL colors look good on everyone) then purchase.

Nicole rocks brights well, it might be her almost flawless porcelain skin, her deep red hair, or her rockin’ personality (more than likely it’s her confidence). Either way, it looks smashing. The touch of snakeskin on the nude platform really does it. All she needs now are some stand out earrings and a couple cocktail rings. Done and done.

How to layer spring with winter…

I know winter is about to show her face, but Jessica shows how to take her favorite new spring piece from Anthropologie and work it into winter. Add gloves boots and a jacket with a hint of dark lips and she has a unique look all her own. So here’s to never packing away seasonal pieces again! My new new resolution, find an even bigger closet.

I can’t wait to see the dress bare shoulder with a fab wedge.
